A Beautiful Partnership: The Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital

Italtile plays vital role in the new Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital

Throughout the new Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital, Italtile placed huge emphasis on expert service and easy maintenance. Italtile and its partners are very proud to be part of a great institution and a great legacy.

Nelson Mandela’s dream of building a state of-the art, specialised paediatric facility to serve the children of South Africa has been realised. The construction is complete and the Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital will be welcoming its first patients this year. Italtile has played a vital role in this project.

Over the past 10 years, Italtile has been working together with highly respected international companies in the building sector, providing total solutions for largescale developments that require extensive expertise. The culmination of our years of experience is the new Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital. Our outstanding partners on this very special project were: LAUFEN, who have more than 120 years’ experience, are a Swiss brand that stand for precision, quality, design and sustainability in the context of total bathroom concepts. Idral, the Italian tap pioneers have 45 years of experience in the manufacture of sanitary appliances.

Another Italian company, Atlas Concorde, now in its 40th year of activity, has been synonymous with strength, ethics and reliability. And last but not least: Ceramic Industries, the largest manufacturer of floor and wall tiles in Southern Africa.

Together, Italtile and its partners provided the hospital with R3.5 million worth of products. Throughout the project, they placed huge emphasis on expert service and easy maintenance.
