SKNLOGIC cosmeceutical skin care is the latest entry into the 2016 Pharmaceutical & Cosmetic Review/Symrise New Product Competition (NPC). The brand has entered its day and night skin creams, SKNdiminish day and SKNdiminish night – which are both formulated with raspberry extract.
Day time defence
SKNLOGIC aims to provide a skin care solution that works with skin’s biological processes to achieve visible results. SKNdiminish day includes pigment regulating ingredients to effectively assist with hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone.
It also boasts vitamin E, which protects skin from free radicals and assists with maintaining the skin’s oil balance. Citric acid in the formulation replenishes the lipids in the top layer of the skin, while raspberry extract promotes cell renewal and new cell growth. It also increases collagen production and improves skin elasticity and helps heal the skin. Lastly, zinc has been incorporated into the day cream to combat acne while acting as an anti-inflammatory.
Nourish at night
Like the day cream, SKNdiminish night contains five percent bearberry extract (Alpha Arbutin) to reduce melanin production by inhibiting tyrosinase. The night cream also promises to effectively lighten spots and dark areas of the skin.
The product has been formulated using an Ecocert approved botanical blend, namely Phyto Compound blend, with seven Swiss Alphine plant extracts to repair the skin. Daisy extract is also included an effective skin lightening agent, pigment inhibitor and reduces melanin production, as well as Vitamin C for its anti-oxidant and healing properties.
SKNdiminish day and SKNdiminish night were launched in May 2015 and are available in salons and spas throughout South Africa.
