Essel launches Aesthet Acne Gel

A pack shot of the Aesthet Acne Gel by EsselAesthet Acne Gel by Essel is an effective acne treatment, which is formulated with micronised benzoyl peroxide (BPO), 5g per 100g. BPO is a recognised ingredient in treating mild and moderate acne.

Essel has entered Aesthet Acne Gel into the 2017 Pharmaceutical & Cosmetic Review/Symrise New Product Competition.

Although the mechanism action of BPO is not completely understood, it is thought to work by generating free radicals. These free radicals kill Propionibacterium acnes, the bacteria that causes acne, by interacting with their cell walls. BPO also has a mild keratolytic effect that keeps the pores clean, preventing them from clogging, which helps avoid breakouts.

Well known, safe and effective

Aesthet Acne Gel contains a non-irritating form of micronised BPO. This is the smallest of BPO particles (less than 10 microns) available on the market. As a result of its minute particle size, the BPO penetrates pores deeply and kills bacteria quickly with less irritation. It is clinically proven to be safe and effective on sensitive skin.

BPO has been on the market for last 40 years as a potent topical bactericidal agent and is an integral part of any acne treatment programme. Effective against inflammatory and non-inflammatory lesions, BPO also has a peeling action that keeps the pores clean and prevents clogging.

A strong brand backed by science

Essel brands of skin and body care products are the result of extensive research and development, and consumer trials. All products undergo strict quality control throughout the manufacturing process to assure continuing consumer satisfaction. Essel skin care treatments are recommended by beauty therapists and aesthetic practitioners.
