Africa’s Organic & Natural Products Expo opens in October

The inaugural Organic & Natural Products Expo Africa will take place at The Deck @ Wanderers, Corlett Drive, Illovo in sunny Johannesburg, South Africa, from 21 to 23 October.

The event was scheduled to take place in May 2020 until COVID stopped all events globally. Since then the organiser, SA Trade Promotions has built up an admirable head of steam consisting of government, industry associations, export councils, trade and investment organisations and literally thousands of consumers hungry for products that are healthy and sustainable. These interested parties come from all over the African continent, and some from even further afield in Europe and the US, setting the scene for what will be a truly global event with a uniquely African feel.

Strong interest from trade and consumers

The Organic & Natural Products Expo Africa is the continent’s only dedicated event for these industry sectors.

“We’ve had to engage with industry and get support from all corners in order to make the event accessible to as many companies as possible, both big and small,” says John Thomson, managing director of SA Trade Promotions and a 40 year expo veteran. “We’ve had such fantastic interest from both the trade and consumer sides of the fence which is important in this sector. The trade creates the push and consumers pull, but so much consumer level education is still required which we are addressing through a presentation theatre programme and industry conferences.”

Stand bookings and visitor registration

With sales firmly underway after the launch of the event’s radio and digital campaigns, companies interested in exhibiting at the Organic & Natural Products Expo Africa need to act swiftly in order to secure expo space. If you are interested in exhibiting, please send an email to show organiser, John Thomson ([email protected]).

While consumer visitors will pay a small admission fee, bone fide trade visitors are invited to apply for complimentary trade tickets via this link. Between 10 000 and 15 000 visitors are expected over the three days, so it’s best to submit your application now to avoid disappointment.
