Bestmed has been named as the 2018 HR Future Technology Champion for the use of their HR Specific Technology to maximum effect. The announcement was made at the award ceremony preceding a two-day summit at The Capital Park in Johannesburg last Thursday evening.
The victory comes after the medical scheme was named as finalist in two categories: Technology and Corporate Wellness.
“It’s an absolute honour for Bestmed to receive this recognition from the HR community and being named as a finalist in two categories this year. This award is an acknowledgement of our continual effort to deliver high-quality personal support to all our employees and members”, says Michelle Ward, HR Manager at Bestmed.
The Future of HR Awards complements the Summit by recognising and promoting the leading lights of the HR industry today; individuals and companies busy reshaping HR into a cutting-edge strategic component integrated with their vision and mission.
Bestmed’s Customised Technology model, built in collaboration with their IT Partner, SCubed, encourages employees to move towards a fully automated employee cycle while ensuring that compliance requirements are met, easing the administration burden and enhancing engagement with personnel.
“Since implementation, we have seen a higher staff retention rate and effective talent acquisition; improved engagement levels with staff; efficient HR processes and high staff satisfaction levels within our organisation”, adds Ward.
