Beyond RDR (Pty) Ltd is pleased to announce that it has appointed Almo Lubowski as an Associate Consultant. Almo will work with Co-founder, Brian Foster, in helping South African Financial Service Providers to get ready for life beyond RDR.

Brian Foster said “We’ve developed a great relationship with Almo over a number of years, and his experience, connections and knowledge of the South African financial planning environment presents us with a great opportunity to reach more advisory businesses. More firms are recognising the need for help and we have seen a significant increase in enquiries in recent months, so we feel the time is right to further develop our team, and Almo is a great addition.”

Almo was the Head of Technical and Advocacy at the FPI between 2010 and 2013, has run his own advisory business and authored “A critical analysis of the extent to which the rules based Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act adheres to the principle based concept of Treating Customers Fairly”. Almo also practices as an attorney in Cape Town.

Almo Lubowski said “My interest in assisting advisers developed during my time at the FPI dealing with a variety of advocacy issues, and my passion for making financial planning and financial services a better place for advisers and consumers is very much aligned with that of Beyond RDR. I am very excited for us to combine our skills and help more advisory firms in South Africa.” Beyond RDR (Pty) Ltd offers a tailored consulting service and a group-based coaching programme based around “The 6 essential steps advisers need to take to get ready for RDR.”
