Review of cabinet was necessary: BUSA

Business Unity SA (BUSA) says in a statement that it notes the announcement by President Ramaphosa of the reshuffling of his cabinet. "We believe a review of his cabinet was necessary, given the state of our economy, a lack of direction in the critical interventions needed for investment and growth, as well as the recent attempt to destabilize the state."

It would have been customary to do this with a good glass of bubbly together as a team in a physical location, but given Covid, the team celebrated over Zoom from our various homes in Johannesburg, Cape Town and London. President Ramaphosa announces changes to the National Executive

This evening, President Cyril Ramaphosa announced certain changes to the National Executive.He said that he had been asked by Minister Zwelini Mkhize to allow him to step down as the Minister of Health in order to bring certainty and stability to the important portfolio. The President added that he had also accepted a long-standing request by Minister Tito Mboweni to be excused from his position as Minister of Finance.
