Government ministers support Mpact’s recycled PET plant
On 10 May 2016, Edna Molewa, Minister of Environmental Affairs, officially unveiled Mpact Polymers in Wadeville, Germiston. The new bottle-to-bottle facility will produce recycled PET (rPET), which is a raw material used to manufacture PET bottles. The material is a substitute for virgin PET, which is derived from crude oil.
