CHEM K228 PF of the polyquaternium 7 (PQ7) range is supplied at various active content concentrations and is paraben free. PQ7 is an aqueous cationic polymer compatible with cationic, non-ionic, anionic and amphoteric surfactants. It provides transparent and colourless cosmetic products.
This product can be easily incorporated in formulations due to complete water solubility. It is compatible with any kind of surfactants including anionic and amphoteric ones. The recommended doses are usually between 2% and 5%, depending on the requirements of the final product.
In shampoo, hair dye, conditioner and styling products, CHEM K228 PF provides:
- creamy foam in shampoos
- soft and silky hair
- excellent dry combability
- snag-free wet combability.
This polymer forms an electrostatic combination with the negatively charged keratin. In hair care products, this product can also increase shine, softness and body, form a non-tacky and continuous film, offer good curl retention performance and enhance setting properties.
CHEM K228 PF can be formulated into hair styling mousses, lotions and gels, conditioners, treatment products and shampoos. It is also suitable in skin care products such as liquid soaps and shower gels, shaving products and body lotions. It forms a nourishing film without leaving a sticky after-feel.

Conditioning polymer for curl activator products
CHEM K39 PF is Derypol’s newest conditioning polymer available locally from Chempack Industries. It is best suited to curl activator formulations. When applied to wet, naturally curly hair before styling, curl activator products moisturise, soften and hold curls in shape.
As an amphoteric terpolymer, it is well suited for liquid cleansing products. CHEM K39 PF is compatible with cationic, non-ionic, anionic and amphoteric surfactants. It is preserved with sodium benzoate as an alternative to parabens. CHEM K39 PF is ideal for use in curl activators, bleaches, dyes, shampoos, conditioners.
In skin care applications, it can be used in moisturising creams, lotions, bath gels, liquid soaps, soap bars, shaving products, antiperspirants, deodorants and sun care products. DER K39 PF imparts a smooth, velvety feel, and reduces tightness after drying skin. It also reduces irritation from liquid skin cleansing products.
