Coschem’s 2015 president, Conny Oberrauter was invited by the Japanese Society of Cosmetic Chemists to attend the IFSCC Zone 2 meeting held in Yokahama on 3 June 2015.
The meeting coincided with this year’s CITE Japan – the country’s biannual exhibition showcasing new trends and innovations in cosmetics.
Sharing some highlights from the meeting, Oberrauter said the IFSCC Zone 2 meeting discussed future venues for IFSCC conferences and congresses. ‘South Africa falls within Zone 2 which also includes Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, The Middle East, Singapore, Japan, India, Malaysia, New Zealand and Philippines.’
The biggest news emanating from the meeting was South Africa has bid to host the 2028 IFSCC Congress. The next Zone 2 meeting will be held in Zurich, Switzerland at the IFSCC Conference 2015, taking place from 22 to 23 September.
