The Lumi Voile Delux Hopsack collection, part of a new product range launched exclusively by Luminos at this year’s Decorex Durban, comes in 10 on-trend colours.
The past few years have seen blinds emerging as a popular décor solution for external and internal window covering, yet the soothing, textural element of curtains is still longed for by many when renovating a space.
Verulam-based organisation, The Blinds Syndicate, through its brand Luminos, have launched the ideal solution to this interior design conflict at this year’s Decorex Durban – Lumi Voile Delux. Crafted from soft linen fabric, the Lumi Voile Delux also provides the practicality of blinds through rigid PVC slatting.
“The launch of this unique interior design solution is a first for South Africa and we are anticipating a big response from visitors to Decorex,” said Sian Cullingworth, Portfolio Director at Reed Exhibitions. “This year’s theme, Designing for Africa – feels like home, is all about seeking décor and design that speaks directly to the local audience, and the Lumi Voile Delux is exactly that.”
Founder and CEO of The Blinds Syndicate, Ridwan Peer, said that blinds worked exceptionally well in a country renowned for its sunshine: “Elements such as heat and glare reduction, combined with the clean lines and enviable aesthetics of blinds, have made them an in-demand décor product. However, we are still aware of the desire for the soft texture and comfort offered by curtains. Because we’re always seeking to meet the market demand, we are launching the Lumi Voile Delux as the perfect window treatment solution.”
The Lumi Voile Delux blind is perfect for an entire wall of windows or large window opening, such as French Doors, with the fabric slats able to rotate allowing for light control. Because the fabric can be unclipped, it is easily washed and re-hung.
The blinds are crafted from a linen fabric – available in three earthy shades – as well as the Lumi Voile Delux Hopsack collection which comes in 10 on-trend colours. As a member of the Green Building Council of South Africa, Luminos ensures all the fabrics are produced in a manufacturing facility that adheres to international standards, resulting in environmentally-safe manufacture.
This exciting new product range has been launched exclusively by Luminos at this year’s Decorex Durban at the Durban Exhibition Centre from 21 to 24 March.
