Digitisation of processes, integration of software and equipment, operating concepts for the pharmaceutical shop floor or big data and analysis are all points of focus for Werum IT at Achema.
The pharma industry trade show takes place in Frankfurt, Germany, from 11 to 15 June.
‘A manufacturing execution system (MES) is the first and most important step for pharma and biotech manufacturers planning to digitise their production,’ says Lars Hornung, senior director of global sales and marketing at Werum IT Solutions. ‘With live demos and interactive presentations, we will inform customers about the latest innovations around our PAS-X MES and electronic batch recording, KPI/OEE, track and trace and finite scheduling. A world first is PAS-X – our market-leading MES as a cloud-based solution. It allows pharma and biotech companies to save resources for their own IT data centre and concentrate on their core business.’
The easy integration of software and equipment using PAS-X MSI plug and produce is another benefit. The machines on the plant floor and Werum’s PAS-X can communicate directly with each other via a standardised, message-based interface. It allows for the integration effort to be reduced by up to 75 percent.
Innovative operating concepts are also set to improve pharma production and increase its efficiency. Together with its partners, Werum is developing solutions to integrate these concepts into its manufacturing IT solutions. At Achema, visitors will learn more about the use of augmented reality and wearables in the pharma production.
With its solutions for enterprise manufacturing intelligence, Werum will show how pharma and biotech companies can generate knowledge from their production data. This will enable supervisors and factory managers to obtain a deeper insight into their production in real time, as a basis for well-informed decisions and the optimisation of processes.
