Natural skin care

Bio-Oil has always believed in the power of natural ingredients, and with the increased demand for natural skincare, Bio-Oil wanted to meet this need. With over 30 years of success and multiple clinical trials proving its efficacy, Bio‑Oil Skincare Oil is the benchmark for the treatment of scars and stretch marks. Therefore, an opportunity existed for Bio-Oil to replicate this benchmark with a purely natural skin care oil.

With the introduction of Bio-Oil Skincare Oil (Natural), Bio-Oil has harnessed the power of science and nature to match the efficacy of its original Skincare Oil – with a product made entirely from natural ingredients.

Justin Letschert: “We wanted to be the first to make a performance product in skin care from natural ingredients, and that is what we did.”

100% natural formulation

Bio-Oil Skincare Oil (Natural) is formulated with a powerful combination of three base oils, four specialist oils, two vitamin oils and five plant extracts. Each ingredient was selected for its ability to deliver the same results as the original Skincare Oil – to be effective in treating scars, stretch marks uneven skin tone, ageing and dehydrated skin.

Containing a unique blend of natural plant oils and extracts, Skincare Oil (Natural) gives skin the nourishment it needs to be healthy and resilient. This light, non-greasy oil absorbs easily and helps boost skin’s elasticity by keeping it supple and hydrated. It promotes skin regeneration by supporting and restoring damaged skin.

Clinically proven results

Justin Letschert explains: “Once we were finished with all the laboratory work, we then submitted the product to the exact same clinical trials as we performed on the original product. So we could see if it performed to the same level, and it did – it was a ‘hallelujah moment’.”

In clinical trials, 100% of participants showed an improvement in the appearance of their scars after eight weeks and 97% of participants showed an improvement in the appearance of their stretch marks. (proDERM Institute for Applied Dermatological Research, Hamburg, Germany, 2020).

“Most natural products on the market are just ‘natural’, they haven’t undergone clinical trials to prove they work for scars, stretch marks, uneven skin tone and ageing skin. And that is why Bio-Oil Skincare Oil (Natural) is a major breakthrough and turning point in the industry. Consumers will be getting the efficacy of science with a natural label on it. That is why the product is called Skincare Oil (Natural), not natural skincare oil – its skincare oil, as in our original Skincare Oil with the performance of the original product, made naturally,” Justin Letschert adds.

Tested and safe

Users with sensitive skin or prone to allergies can rest easy: Bio-Oil Skincare Oil (Natural) is dermatologically tested, hypo-allergenic, does not block pores, and is suitable for all skin types. The formulation is free-from parabens, preservatives, GMOs, artificial additives and fragrances.

Nourish, condition and restore skin with skin care that is clinically proven to work, naturally. Bio-Oil Skincare Oil (Natural) is available at Dis-Chem, Wellness Warehouse, Faithful to Nature and select retailers nationwide in the following pack sizes: 25ml (RSP R64.99); 60ml (RSP R139.99); 125ml (RSP R199.99) and 200ml (RSP R299.99).
