Annually South African consumers vote for brands that have made an impact on them in terms of the way they define their personalities and lifestyle in the Target Group Index (TGI) Iconic Brands survey.
The survey which is done in partnership with Media 24’s City Press and Rapport and sees over 8000 brands in various categories measured in more than 10 000 face-to-face interviews.
The survey is the largest of its kind and is a good indication of the relevance that a brand has with consumers who are now more dynamic than ever and a market place that has a broad spectrum of access to information. It is conducted nationally and is independently done.
This year again saw Dulux take top honours in the national brand survey, as it revealed that the company that is the flagship brand of the world’s largest paint company AkzoNobel was voted the category winner for the ‘Most loved paint brand’.
“We’re grateful to everyone that has made this achievement possible including the sample surveyed for voting Dulux the category winner. This accolade is proof that our tag line – Let’s Colour is indicative of the fact that South Africans think of Dulux as the partner of choice when adding colour to their homes,” says Dulux Marketing Manager, Nathalie Sweeney.
Dulux has remained consistent in receiving top honours from the survey by being named that most loved paint brand for five consecutive years as well as receiving brand icon status in the 2013/2014 edition of the survey.
