Eagle Lighting recently spotted at the Rockefeller Hotel

Eagle Lighting features in four new remarkable projects: The Rockefeller Hotel in Cape Town, Total Ninja Park, Specialised Paarl and the NSRI HQ.
Working closely with Malherbe Rust Architects, Eagle Lighting was able to assist with lighting solutions for Specialised Paarl, a retail store specialising in cycling equipment.

The Rockefeller comprises 395 expertly designed luxury apartments spread over 18 storeys, located on the Cape Town Foreshore. With their slogan ‘Designed to be lived in, designed to be enjoyed’ working together with Sutherland Engineer’s and Source IBA, Eagle Lighting was able to assist with the lighting requirements to achieve this. The Rockefeller Plaza, located on the ground floor, consists of various dining experiences, each with its own unique quirky feel. From Resin Monkey Pendants overlooking the hustle of Christiaan Barnard Street, to oversized Black Dome Pendants mounted in a decorated mesh chain over the main bar area. Eagle Lighting’s Sleek LED Linear Profiles were installed between bamboo to complement the Asian ambiance, and a cluster of custom-made Felt Pendants are also available, in three different shapes. They also supplied their Neon LED Flex MAN210 to highlight the white marble and black staircase – a stairway to heaven.

Total Ninja

The recently opened Total Ninja Park is a supervised activity and fitness venue inspired by the global phenomenon TV series Ninja Warrior. With the largest inflatable and obstacle course in Africa, the client required various light levels for different areas. Eagle Lighting recommend their LED 150w Highbay with Bluetooth Sensor – PTH150/BSF/4000K. Using the Bluetooth app, they were able to able to group the Highbays to the various stations, adjusting the light levels accordingly. The Bluetooth Highbay comes complete with a motion sensor and daylight detector, so when the obstacle course is not in use, the Highbays are programmed to switch off accordingly – a function that can be programmed on the app.

National Sea Rescue Headquarters

The widely known National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) is the charity that saves lives on South African waters. We assisted Darryl Croome Architects with the newly revamped state-of-the-art Training Academy and Call Centre situated in Montague Gardens. To complement this trendy HQ, Eagle Lighting supplied long runs of sleek LED linear profiles in 4000k around the perimeter of the training area and passages. In the offices, they suspended our 600×600 3 CCT LED panels, which come complete with a Colour Changeable Dip Switch to change the colour from 3000k to 4000k or 5700k. Eagle Lighting also supplied our Antique Brass Pendant with braided cable, complete with G120 LED Filament lamps, over the yellow island counter.

Specialised Paarl

Specialised Paarl is a retail store specialising in cycling equipment situated at the foot of Paarl Mountain, allowing you to step out the store onto world-class trails. Working closely with Malherbe Rust Architects, Eagle Lighting was able to assist with a complete turnkey package, including Dialux Lighting design and Lighting Renders. On the trading floor, Eagle Lighting offered their four-wire track – a minimally invasive system, both visually and aesthetically appealing – with T-lines for general light and a combination of wide-beam track spots MAN336 for wall washing, and narrow 24-degree track spots to highlight key focal points.
