Trade Opportunities Abound At Milestone Edition Of Decorex Joburg

25th Decorex Joburg

Decorex Joburg – on at Gallagher Convention Centre from 8 to 12 August – will include two dedicated trade networking days, access to the International Sourcing Fair (ISF) and 100% Design South Africa, and a sophisticated Business Matchmaking Programme.

Africa’s largest décor, design and lifestyle exhibition will be presenting industry members with ample trade opportunities at this year’s 25th Decorex Joburg, presented by Plascon. Taking place at Gallagher Convention Centre from 8 to 12 August, there will be a number of co-ordinated trade events, affording trade buyers with exclusive business-to-business networking opportunities.

“Decorex Joburg has always provided the trade industry with a really worthwhile platform for engagement, and the 25th edition is going to be even bigger,” said Sian Cullingworth, Portfolio Director: Design, Lifestyle and Retail Exhibitions. “In addition to more than 22 000sqm of exhibition space across seven halls, there will be two dedicated trade networking days, access to the International Sourcing Fair (ISF) and 100% Design South Africa, and a sophisticated Business Matchmaking Programme. All-in-all, this promises to be a really worthwhile networking opportunity.”

To enjoy the expansive trade opportunities at Decorex Joburg – free of charge – businesses need to pre-register online at www.decorex.co.za any time before 4pm on 7 August. This will allow access to Decorex Joburg, with businesses seeking dedicated networking opportunities encouraged to visit on the two trade-focused days, Wednesday, 8 and Friday, 10 August. Here, trade buyers can source new products from suppliers, network among industry peers and experts, and form lucrative connections in a business-conducive environment.

This year, Decorex Joburg will enhance the trade experience by facilitating the exclusive Business Matchmaking Programme for all trade visitors to the show. This programme is a platform that provides trade buyers with the opportunity to organise meetings directly with exhibitors, thereby generating valuable business connections.

All confirmed exhibitors and trade buyers, who have successfully pre-registered online, will be pre-loaded to the Business Matchmaking Programme, with a business profile generated and available for view before the start of Decorex Joburg.  In addition, intelligent matchmaking reports will identify which trade buyers and exhibitors are most likely to interact, and participants can then request meetings for specific timeslots. By pre-profiling, pre-matching and pre-scheduling meetings, trade buyers and exhibitors will engage proactively, maximising the networking experience.

Trade access to Decorex Joburg also provides trade members access to 100% Design South Africa and ISF. 100% Design South Africa, collocated with Decorex Joburg for a fifth year, has an array of furniture design, textiles, lighting, wallpaper and product design from more than 130 local and international exhibitors. Also collocated with Decorex Joburg is the ISF, the only exhibition for sourcing and purchasing retail and commercial products exclusively focused on the home, office, gift and hospitality sectors.

For any trade members that don’t register online at www.decorex.co.za for free access, there will be an onsite registration cost of R100 which also provides for all trade-related benefits. There are many categories that will benefit from the trade programme, including:

  • Architects

  • Building specifiers
