Propak West Africa 2019 has added a further 25 per cent of exhibition space and announces Sasol as Gold Sponsor for this year’s edition.

This year from the 17 to 19 September, Propak West Africa will once again take over the Landmark Centre in Lagos, Nigeria for its seventh edition. Having gown consistently year on year since its inception, Propak West Africa has become the region’s largest and most attended exhibition for packaging, plastics, printing and food processing.

Following enormous success from the previous year, organisers have announced an additional 25 per cent in floorspace to accommodate the demand to exhibit. Among the brands already confirmed to participate in 2019 are Bobst, Ishida Europe, PanAsia Tech, Sasol, Snetor, SkySat, Windmoeller & Hoelscher and many more.

Recently announced as the Gold Sponsor for the upcoming edition of Propak West Africa, Sasol, is an international integrated chemicals and energy company working in 33 countries. Sasol’s Chemicals Polymers, Solvents and Wax divisions market and supply value-added products and services to the plastics packaging and printing industry globally. Following their first-time exhibiting in 2018, their decision to maximise its efforts in the region is a true testament to the show’s increasing success.

In 2018, Propak West Africa welcomed 4 265 attendees, an increase of an astonishing 31 per cent from 2017 while the size of the show itself grew by almost half after the addition of a third Hall. With 32 countries represented by exhibitors and visitors alike, the show has established itself firmly as a truly international event.

Speaking on Propak West Africa’s growth, regional director for Afrocet Montgomery, George Pearson comments, ‘The additional hall space allocated for 2019 means Propak West Africa has grown by a total of two thirds in just two years, that coupled with more than 80 per cent of stands space already sold for the upcoming exhibition, is evidence of the market’s growth and opportunity for development.’

So what can we expect in 2019?

With more than 5 000 visitors expected, and over 200 brands on display, this year’s exhibition set to be the largest to date. With a number of brand new exhibitors joining the fold this September, organisers are confident there will be plenty to see for visitors both new to the exhibition and returning.

Among the new brands to join the Propak West Africa 2019 exhibitor list are Emsur Macdonell S.A, Hosokawa Alpine AG, Starlinger & Co GmbH, BBM, Holland Colours Europe BV / Global Polytech Africa Pvt Ltd, Five Thousand Miles Nigeria, Atlas Copco Nigeria Ltd and Zutrad Ventures.

The co-located conference has been tipped to draw in some of the industry’s biggest names to date. With so much happening in the West African packaging, plastics and printing market, it has been said that experts from some of the world’s leading brands will be in attendance to share market insights, opportunities and know-how with the audience.
