On 9 October, Imbalie Beauty celebrated the launch of its first flagship Placecol aesthetic clinic in Woodlands Mall, in Pretoria.
Speaking at the ribbon cutting ceremony, Ensa Colyn, CEO of the Imbalie Beauty Group, said: ‘We are setting the bar high with this project where science meets nature by bringing real value to consumers in everything we offer.’
What’s on offer?
In addition to the brand’s non-invasive skin care treatments for all ages and skin types, the new aesthetic clinic will offer a range of dermal fillers and botox treatments performed by registered medical professionals. Waxing, manicures and pedicures, as well as meso therapy (a revolutionary new needle-free treatment) and peels are also on offer.
Plenty to purchase
As with all of the brand’s skin care clinics, the aesthetic clinic in Woodlands Mall will retail Placecol’s updated signature and Illumine ranges, as well as Beauté Pacifique, Bioeffect, the Bodyography makeup brand and Philip Kingsley Trichotherapy for scalp care.
It’s no doubt 2015 has been a busy and successful year for the group. Imbalie Beauty has been moving in a new and exciting direction with a number of acquisitions. Earlier this year Pharmacos covered the group’s acquisition of Prana Products.
More recently, the group announced that it has entered into a heads of agreement to acquire Curves Africa, the largest fitness and wellness group for women in Africa. Curves Africa has 87 franchised clubs across South Africa and has nine franchised clubs in Nigeria, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Colyn comments: ‘The transaction will give Imbalie Beauty strategic access into the fitness and wellness arena in South Africa and Africa. The market trend is for consumers to live longer and to look better, with wellness and beauty driving this category. Imbalie Beauty has identified wellness as an important growth area for consumers.’
Imbalie Beauty is a multiple brand franchise owner, including Placecol, Dream Nails Beauty and the Perfect 10 salon brand. The Curves business model is considered to be complementary to the group’s existing franchise model and the salon, fitness and wellness brands will enhance each other within the group.
