Meganede emphasises education this Women’s Day

Education is key to women’s empowerment. Through it, women have better access to opportunities in the workforce. It also ensures women are able to live their dreams by pursuing their own goals and values. This Women’s Day, Pharmaceutical & Cosmetic Review spoke to Megan Jones, owner of Meganede about the importance of education in the cosmetics industry.

“Education is close to my heart,” says Jones, “in my previous career as a maths and science teacher and in my involvement in the cosmetics industry, both as a supplier and a member of the Coschem Education Committee.”

Jones’ scientific training has enabled her to share her technical knowledge with colleagues and customers. She is also proud to have played a role in enabling other women entrepreneurs to reach their dreams of having their own cosmetic range.

“From an early stage in my career, I was fortunate to have been respected in the workplace for my ambition and hard work and was afforded opportunities based on my determination, which eventually enabled me to start Meganede over a decade ago,” she explains.
