New online home improvement concierge takes the headache out of renovations

A South African digital start-up launched its brand-new online concierge service, E-FFICIENCY, that simplifies the tedious task of home improvement and offers complete peace of mind.

E-FFICIENCY, a market first, offers end to end management of the service booking process, instant quotations known as Insta Quotes as well as securely managing payments through their user-friendly interface. By visiting www.e-fficiency.co.za homeowners can start their project, get a quote and book their premium service experience, all in as little as 10 minutes.

A secure escrow service, through financial services partner Truzo, protects customer payments and only releases the funds once the customer is satisfied with the job.

E-FFICIENCY CEO Raeef Meyer said the service was designed for modern professionals that are stretched thin, because of managing too many things at once. “They simply don’t have the time to plan and execute a home improvement project. Consulting with multiple contractors, obtaining quotes and still ensuring that the contractor is capable of delivering a high-quality service is no small feat,” said Meyer. “Knowing the time restrictions our clients face and the confusion that exists about what they should be doing with project; we created a service takes the guess work out of wondering what to do and how to do it.”

Meyer went on to say, “Consumers need to know that the service provider is going to successfully deliver the required service and not abscond with their money. Contractors on the other hand need to be reassured that they are going to be paid. This technology addresses that very issue through the strategic partnership with Truzo.”

Unlike other app-based services such as Uber, Airbnb or other, that require users to download a proprietary app, E-FFICIENCY uses Facebook Messenger, an app already used by more than 20 million South Africans. With user experience at the top of mind, the E-FFICIENCY concierge has been customised to provide a seamless one-stop shop for home projects, such as painting, ceiling repairs and general handyman services. Users can even book a market first, COVID-FRIENDLY video consultation.

E-FFICIENCY guides customers through their projects, allows them to share information such as photos or voice notes, get an instant quote and book the required service. Once the customer confirms the service, E-FFICIENCY takes accountability for providing a premium customer experience. From the issuing of a job card to handling of any queries, E-FFICIENCY will manage the entire project to the end.

“We are confident that our solution allows customers to conveniently choose, pay for and schedule home improvement services without the hassle of shopping around for qualified service partners. E-FFICIENCY wants to ensure customers peace of mind, reduced inconvenience and comfort that their payment is secure for all home improvement projects.
