Precise automatic control over window vent opening

A new compact chain actuator has been launched by smoke and natural ventilation specialist, SE Controls Africa.  It provides precise automatic control over window vent opening within natural ventilation systems, while incorporating optional stroke lengths of 250mm or 350mm to meet specific project or facade requirements.

The SECO N 24 25 is virtually silent in operation and is available in both single or twin chain versions for use on a wide range of window sizes. Its electronically controlled 250 Newton closing force ensures that the window closes fully every time.

Operating on a 24 Volt DC supply, optional actuator speeds of between 3mm/sec and 7mm/sec can be selected to give precise window positioning as part of a building’s natural ventilation strategy. Each actuator also provides programmable gasket relief up to 20mm as standard to ensure that window seal integrity and weather protection performance is maintained.

The powder coated slim compact design and the range of fixing bracket solutions enables the SECO N 24 25 to be used with top, bottom and side hung windows, as well as centre pivot options, while the 2000mm standard flex length allows easy installation in a range of applications.

The SECO N 24 25 is part a wide range of actuators and control solutions for smoke and natural ventilation systems manufactured by the company, which are CE marked and adhere to all relevant testing and international compliance standards.

SE Controls Africa specialises in the design & supply of advanced smoke ventilation and natural ventilation solutions to meet the needs of architects, contractors, building services engineers and facilities managers worldwide and covers the whole of the African continent with offices in Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg.
