ACI Technical Services are distributors and system integrators of on-line cycle chemistry analysers and sample conditioning systems. They recently had the pleasure of supplying Eskom Research, Testing and Development with new technology from Waltron’s cycle chemistry analyser range. These are for performance testing, to determine the capability of these analysers to meet Eskom’s high standards of effective cycle chemistry control and treatment.
The Waltron instruments that have been tested are the 9096 Degassed Acid Conductivity and 9065 Dissolved Oxygen on-line as well as portable instrument.
The 9096 Degas Acid Conductivity uses ambient air, forced against the flow of water sample to achieve high degassing efficiency. This results in a significantly faster response compared to the conventional reboiler method, and offers a significant reduction in power consumption. The Waltron 9065 Dissolved Oxygen analyser, which features luminescent technology, offers superior improvement in accuracy, stability and life cycle cost when compared to the traditional Clark sensor technology.
Both of the Waltron analysers that have been tested provide high accuracy, lower cost of ownership and excellent long-term stability.
