Savannah presents award-winning actives from Provital

Wonderage and Senseryn win 2021 BSB Innovation Awards
Provital’s natural active ingredients Wonderage and Senseryn have both been awarded 2021 BSB Innovation Awards

The company’s well-ageing active ingredient, Wonderage won first prize in the Actives/Raw Materials category for its “modern, creative and promising approach addressing the growing demand for anti-ageing products that support emotional wellbeing”.

Derived from Monk fruit, also known as the fruit of longevity, Wonderage balances epigenetics of the skin to enhance the natural radiance of mature women, impacting on their emotional well-being. The performance of this active was measured using Artificial Intelligence. Wonderage is a natural well-ageing ingredient with a holistic approach as expressed in its slogan: Beauty is not the key to happiness; happiness is the key to beauty.

Wonderage improves dermal structure by boosting endogenous hyaluronic acid and strengthening collagen fibres. It responds to the needs of mature skin in terms of luminosity, hydration, density and wrinkle reduction on the eye contour and neck area.

Calming skin using the senses

Senseryn from Provital won second prize in the BSB Innovation Awards Natural/Raw Materials category. This natural active ingredient improves the quality of life of consumers with sensitive and reactive skin using a new-fangled scientific approach, deemed sensocosmetic.

Our senses take care of our skin’s wellbeing through the activation of sensory receptors. This innovative mechanism of action goes hand to hand with a local sourcing within an ethical supply chain to respond to the need for transparency in the industry and claims of safe beauty care. According to Provital, Senseryn is an active ingredient that is kind to both the skin and the planet.

Senseryn is COSMOS certified organic. The active ingredient calms and protects reactive skin by emulating the bitter taste of plants which is their natural protection mechanism. It is made from hops that are ethically sourced from a family-owned business. Protection of the environment is ensured throughout the supply chain as well as the promotion of biodiversity.

In vivo efficacy results of a clinical test performed on a panel of men and women with atopic-prone skin demonstrate that Senseryn acts on all reactive symptoms related with skin’s well-being. It reduces itching, preventing superinfection due to scratching. It also neutralises the burning sensation, restores skin comfort acting on hydration and elasticity, and reduces redness.

Both of these award-winning ingredients – Senseryn and Wonderage – are available in South Africa from Savannah Fine Chemicals, the local agent for Provital.
