Slanghoek Cellar appoints new national distributor The Breedekloof winery

Slanghoek appoints new distributorThe Breedekloof winery has appointed PB Liquor Merchants as its wine distributor. Since its establishment in 1951, the team at Slanghoek Cellar (Slanghoek) has been driven by a mandate to produce a range of high quality and highly drinkable wines.

To date, these wines were only available for purchase via the cellar’s website, as well as liquor stores in metropoles in the Western Cape, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal and Eastern Cape. According to Pieter Carstens, cellar master of Slanghoek, consumer demand for the Cellar’s wines necessitated a bigger footprint.

Responding to this consumer demand, fine wine distributors PB Liquor Merchants will ensure delivery of Slanghoek’s portfolio of wines to major retailers nationwide.

Taking distribution one step further, Slanghoek’s wines are now also available through Bidvest Food Service, allowing a national footprint for the lovers of fine dining.

Says Carstens, ‘In keeping with the times and given the competitiveness of the market and an increased demand inland, it is imperative to have a national footprint. The appointment of a new distributor will give us just that.’
