South Africa’s first breakfast cereal to combine fibre and a probiotic

FUTURELIFE has a new product, BRAN FLAKES along with HOWARU Premium Probiotic capsules.

Angela Leach, the head dietitian for FUTURELIFE says the brand was built on a vision to improve the lives of South African families through Smart Nutrition, and the launch of the new FUTURELIFE BRAN FLAKES with HOWARU Premium Probiotic capsules is testament to that commitment.

FUTURELIFE BRAN FLAKES are available from all leading retail outlets at a recommended retail price of R67.99

Powerful combination

The powerful combination of high fibre cereal and probiotics is designed to support the everyday functioning of the gut.  “Probiotics restore the balance of gut flora and improve the health of the digestive system while the fibre in the FUTURELIFE BRAN FLAKES helps clean your gut by supporting the movement of undigested food through your digestive system,” Angela explains.

In addition to being high in dietary fibre, the FUTURELIFE BRAN FLAKES are also a great breakfast solution as they are low in saturated fat with only 0.2 g per serving and contain only 0.9 g of total fat per serving.  It is  high in carbohydrates, energy and  a great source of 12 vitamins (Vitamin A, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Niacin, Pantothenic Acid, Vitamin B6, Folic Acid, Vitamin B12, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin E and Biotin) and lastly, a source of protein.   “This combination of nutrients also contributes to the optimal function of your immune system,” says Angela.

She adds that this isn’t the first time that FUTURELIFE have combined fibre and probiotics in a breakfast cereal. “In 2016 FUTURELIFE® launched our BRAN FLAKES with Probiotic Sachets with great success! We are however always on the lookout for new ways to improve and deliver on our promises to our customers. And so, when a recent study showed that our loyal FUTURELIFE BRAN FLAKES fans would prefer to take their probiotic as a capsule, we jumped at the opportunity. When our customers speak, we listen!”

Good health starts in your gut

“Good health starts in your gut and by adding your choice of milk, yogurt or fruit to a 45g serving of FUTURELIFE BRAN FLAKES and taking one capsule of HOWARU Premium Probiotic daily, you are making the smart choice for your body and mind!” Angela concludes.

FUTURELIFE BRAN FLAKES are available from all leading retail outlets at a recommended retail price of R67.99.
