SA’s number one chewing gum brand, Stimorol, stormed Twitter with a new exciting flavour – Stimorol Retro chewing gum.
The brand trended at number three only 38 minutes after launch and jumped to number two after only an hour! The all-new refreshing bubblegum flavour from Stimorol treats your taste buds to a throwback with nostalgic feels of the ’80s, ’90s and ’00s.
South Africa’s Gen Z’s were a part of the brands flavour reveal on Twitter. Each retweet of the brand unlocked a single pixel with an astounding Twitter Mosaic that ultimately was built to reveal the new Stimorol Retro refreshing bubblegum flavour. The mosaic had a bonus for consumers, designed to allow them to search for their individual photos and win hidden prizes along the way.
Stimorol Retro’s strong brand advocacy program successfully drove the Mosaic – with six Influencers, with a total follower base of approximately 2.5 million across Twitter, Instagram and Tik Tok platforms. With some of the coolest influencers around such as Macc Gee, Young Stilo, Kamo Mphela, Lauren & Lara, Rowlene and DopestChiqq.
Teasers with subtle hints
The genius behind the influencer content was creating teasers with subtle hints behind the flavour, by recreating old-school cool characters and re-enacting scenes from their favourite throwback movies and TV shows, using only the hashtag #stimorolflavourreveal.
