Long-term Insurance Ombud swamped by complaints

The Office of the Ombudsman for Long-term Insurance had its work cut out in the first half of 2021 with a record number of complaints. “The second wave of the COVID-19 virus at the end of 2020 drove up complaints particularly in the early part of 2021,” says Denise Gabriels, Deputy Ombudsman for Long-term Insurance.
