South Africa loses R6 billion plus in revenue to illicit alcohol trade

The South African economy suffered a fiscal loss of R6.4-billion (USD$492-million) in 2017 due to illicit alcohol activities, which generates annual revenue of R12.9bn and goes unregulated.
