Pioneer expands into Africa

A majority holding in Nigeria’s Food Concepts was acquiesced to Pioneer Foods, which has at least five more African countries as targets in the pipeline. The US$7 million (approximately R86 million) purchase of a 50.1 per cent stake enables the company to expand beyond South Africa.
