Interwaste launches first refuse-derived fuel plant in South Africa

On 4 February 2016, the waste management business Interwaste announced the launch of South Africa’s first refuse-derived fuel (RDF) plant. The plant aims to reduce waste to landfill and pioneering the processing of general, industrial and municipal waste to alternative fuels.
