Turnstar – a total solution for access control

Turnstar Systems has its own in-house powder coating plant at its 7 700 square metre factory in Johannesburg.

In-house powder coating on all Turnstar turnstiles ensures durability and resistance to corrosion and peeling.

Having such a critical process in the manufacture of turnstiles under the company’s control provides the customer with true peace of mind that the surface coating will last and no premature corrosion or peeling will occur. Turnstar’s plant is audited annually as part of the company’s ISO9001:2015 certification and a full variety of colours is available upon customer request.

The key to the quality of the plant is the 7-stage chemical pretreatment which includes a degreaser, acid and phosphate. Two rinse tanks separate each process tank in order to minimise cross contamination.

Established in 1990, Turnstar provides a total solution for all physical access control and time & attendance applications.

The company operates from a modern 7 700m² factory in Johannesburg, South Africa, and manufactures some of the world’s most reliable & durable entrance control products. Products manufactured by Turnstar include a full range of turnstiles, speedgates, revolving doors, man-trap cubicles, vehicle barriers, high security spike barriers and anti-terror rising bollards & road blockers.
