Voice of the Architect

New film festival in October shines a light on award-winning South African Architecture, and you can earn CPD points.
A series of six 25-minute documentaries showcasing recent award-winning buildings in Johannesburg will be screened at Glenhove Conference Centre, Rosebank, Johannesburg, on 14 and 15 October.

The Voice of the Architect is an innovative concept whose goal is to shine a spotlight on award winning South African Architecture and give the hungry people of South Africa the chance to share in their enthusiasm for South African Design. Pioneering in its first year, the festival in 2022 launches with six short films to feast one’s eye upon and have a glass of vino.

The purpose of this event is to celebrate and to create a platform for community building within the architectural circles, to created public awareness towards those engaging with architects, as well as allow for practice exposure to the firms who have been producing these noteworthy works.

THE CONCEPT

Six 25-minute documentaries showcasing buildings in Johannesburg which won awards in the year 2021.

The films will run over Friday and Saturday nights with bookings for registered professionals made through CPD Central (for CPD Credits) and bookings for the public open through Itickets. Three films will be shown each evening.

A cash bar will be available and books and art will be available for purchase.
