Prof. Stoffel Grobler is a Medical Doctor and Psychiatrist in South Africa. He has more than 20 years of experience in both psychiatry and workplace mental health. Prof. Grobler has been interested in the workplace’s effect on an individual’s mental health since starting his career, obtaining a qualification in occupational health before specializing in psychiatry. As an independent medical examiner for the insurance industry, Prof. Grobler has become passionate about preventing disability due to mental illness. He believes that educating and equipping employees and managers with knowledge about mental illness can help prevent disability. In his opinion, every day should be mental health awareness day at work. Prof. Grobler is a strong proponent of workplace mental health programs, an accredited i-act instructor, and the lead for i-act for positive mental health and well-being in South Africa. He is a sought-after keynote speaker and established academic with more than 30 publications in peer-reviewed medical journals. His qualifications include a degree in Medicine, a Diploma in Occupational Health, an MMed in Psychiatry (cum laude), an FC Psych from the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa, and a Doctorate in Medicine.
