Dr David Epstein is a qualified physician / gastroenterologist in full-time private practice at Life Vincent Pallotti Hospital, Cape Town. His practice focuses on managing inflammatory bowel disease in both children and adults. Dr Epstein has formed a multidisciplinary team at Vincent Pallotti Hospital for managing paediatric IBD and has children ranging from 21 months to 18 years with IBD under the care of his team. He is also the managing partner of the Cape Town Infusion Centre, an outpatient facility offering ambulatory intravenous infusion therapy for patients requiring biological therapy and intravenous iron replacement. Dr Epstein is the founder and director of IBD Africa, a non-profit organisation aimed at improving the care of IBD patients in sub-Saharan Africa through research, education and advocacy. Dr Epstein has recently partnered with Arthritis Kids and other autoimmune support organisations to form the Autoimmune Alliance of South Africa.
