Teréza has dedicated 35 years to the field of osteoporosis, beginning as Chief Professional Nurse at Tygerberg Hospital's Endocrine Unit and later serving as Educational Officer for NOFSA. She has coordinated various clinical trials and is an experienced DXA operator.
A long-standing advocate, she has contributed to medical journals, written extensively for the lay press, and authored postgraduate nursing chapters on endocrinology.
Teréza is also a member of several societies, including the International Osteoporosis Foundation, and regularly presents at national and international meetings. A passionate lobbyist, she actively champions patient rights on multiple advisory boards and expert panels worldwide.
