Dr Ezio Baraldi
Specialist Family Physician
Ezio Baraldi is a Specialist Family Physician who specializes in the management of HIV-infected patients at Embassy Drive Medical Centre, Pretoria, South Africa. He is a founder member of the South African HIV Clinician's Society and has been involved in HIV medicine since 1986.
He is past President of the Southern African Sexual Health Association and is currently the conference chair for the African Viral Care Society. He was congress president for the First Southern African Sexual Medicine conference held in 2014. In 2012 he was admitted as a specialist fellow of the European Council for Sexual Medicine. He has served on a number of international committees on HIV and sexual medicine.
Dr Baraldi is Principal Investigator in numerous clinical studies in HIV, and is founder and Director of the Trial Tech Research Centre and Inventa clinical research in Pretoria.
He holds a diploma in medicine and law, and has undertaken additional training in Ethics and Human Research, presented by the JF Kennedy School of Public Health of Harvard University, and holds a degree in Bioethics at the University of Stellenbosch. He is currently furthering his studies in medical mediation and arbitration and is a member of the South African Medico-Legal association.
