Prof Johan Potgieter is an Adjunct Professor and head of the department of Haematology at the University of Pretoria. He holds multiple medical qualifications, including MBChB (UP), M.Med (Fam Med) (UP), and M.Med (Haemat) (UP). With over 12 years of experience post-M.Med, he has played a crucial role in adult patient care at the Haemophilia Clinic at Steve Biko Academic Hospital. He is a member of several prestigious organisations, including South African Society of Haematology, World Federation of Haemophilia, Medical & Scientific Advisory Counsil of South African Haemophilia Foundation and more. He is deeply involved in Haemophillia and bleeding disorders, as well as Molecular Haematology and Laboratory Medicine Research.
Prof Johnny Mahlangu
Professor in Haematology
Prof Johnny Mahlangu, BSc, MBBCh, MMed, FCPath is a personal professor in Haematology and Head of School of Pathology in the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of the Witwatersrand and the national Health Laboratory Service in Johannesburg. He is also director of the International Haemophilia Training Centre and Consultant Clinical Haemophilia at the Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital, Johannesburg.
