Prof Ajesh Maharaj received his Ph.D. from the University of Amsterdam on psoriatic arthritis. He is currently on the co-morbidities committee of GRAPPA. He is a full member of ASAS, on the EULAR/ACR recommendation committee for polymyalgia rheumatica. He is one of the principal investigators of ILAR treatment recommendations for psoriatic arthritis in resource-poor countries. He is a member of the International Psoriasis and Arthritis Research Team (iPART). He is widely published in psoriatic arthritis and spondyloarthritis and has presented at many local and international conferences. He is currently the coguest editor of Best Practice & Research: Clinical Rheumatology for 2021/2022.
