Conrad is the editor of Medical Academic, a well-known online CPD platform for South African health workers. He is a former senior journalist for the South African Medical Association and former editor of the SAMA Insider.

Dr Shaunagh Emanuel is a medical doctor with a diploma in allergy and an interest in creative medical education. She runs an allergy practice in Claremont. She is also clinical director at Synopsis Research, where her work focusses on allergy studies. She is involved in academic teaching and training in various settings including the University of Cape Town. She serves on the board of the Allergy Foundation of South Africa, where she is involved in education and outreach. She is a regular contributor to the Current Allergy and Immunology Journal where her articles are illustrated in her trademark watercolour images.
