Jacobs is a Specialist Dermatologist with a strong academic foundation and a passion for patient-centred dermatological care. She completed her undergraduate medical degree (MBChB) at the University of Pretoria in 2008. Pursuing her interest in dermatology, she underwent specialist training at the University of Pretoria, where she earned both the Fellowship of the College of Dermatologists of South Africa and a Master of Medicine (MMed) in Dermatology, graduating Cum Laude. In recognition of her outstanding academic achievements, Dr Jacobs was awarded the prestigious Peter-Gordon-Smith Award, presented to the top-performing candidate in the Fellowship examination of the College of Dermatologists of South Africa. Her MMed research, which focused on the quality of life of patients with blistering skin diseases, earned further acclaim when it was recognised at the Dermatology for Africa Conference in 2018. Dr Jacobs plays an active role in the training of future dermatologists as a part-time lecturer and consultant at the University of Pretoria's Department of Dermatology.
