Dr Alan Peter completed his MBBCh at Wits University. He became a Fellow of the College of Physicians of SA in 2002 and obtained a sub-specialty certificate via the same institution in 2009. Dr Alan Peter is a Pulmonologist at Chris Hani Baragwanath hospital in Soweto, where he runs a medical unit. Alan started welcoming medical students to Swanage in 2007 with the aim of providing a homely, friendly community vibe for medical students to enjoy during their electives. He also serves as clinical head of a unit in Internal Medicine at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital.
