Dr Trudy Smith qualified MBBCh (Wits) in 1988, FCOG (SA) in 1996 and Sub Speciality in Gynaecology Oncology in 2009. She is a Senior Lecturer at the University of the Witwatersrand and works at the Wits Donald Gordon Medical centre. She is involved in numerous clinical studies and protocols as well as international and national reviews.
  • Current President of SA Menopause Society
  • Sits on various boards including South African Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Council
  • Current Head of Gynaecological Oncology at WITS University.
She lectures to schools and does television and radio work. Dr Smith has published over 18 research publications and presents frequently at international and national congresses and meetings.
