Dr Amod is a clinical pharmacologist, medical ethicist, and medical law expert with extensive experience in clinical research. He holds a Certificate in Clinical Pharmacology from the Nelson R. Mandela School of Medicine (2009) and a master’s degree in law with a specialisation in medical law from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Dr Amod also holds a PhD in clinical medicine, awarded with a full scholarship. He is a respected thought leader in medical ethics, a sought-after speaker, and frequently comments in mainstream media on clinical and ethical topics. Dr Amod actively contributes to national and international medical and medico-legal organisations and is engaged in several clinical research projects, including multi-centre trials in collaboration with international universities.
