Conrad is the editor of Medical Academic, a well-known online CPD platform for South African health workers. He is a former senior journalist for the South African Medical Association and former editor of the SAMA Insider.

Dr Butler is a neurologist who specialises in epilepsy, including epilepsy surgery. He qualified from the University of Cape Town in 1988, completed his neurology training at the same institution in 1995, and finished a two-year fellowship in epilepsy at the Epilepsy Unit in the Department of Neurological Sciences, University of Western Ontario, Canada from 1996 to 1998. He completed six university courses in clinical epidemiology and biostatistics from the same institution. He was subsequently appointed as a consultant neurologist at the University of Stellenbosch, before starting the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at Constantiaberg Hospital, Cape Town in 2000. He subsequently established a research unit in the same hospital, is affiliated as a part-time consultant to the Neurology Department at the University of Cape Town and the University of Stellenbosch, and has published 31 articles in international peer-reviewed journals, including one of the few completed randomised controlled trials of epilepsy surgery in adults. He serves as a member of the Neurological Association of South Africa executive committee. He holds a weekly Friday morning neurosciences meeting and a weekly EEG meeting, attended by members of the two local universities and neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, neuropathologists and neuropsychologists from across the country.

Prof. Gustavo Jesus is a Psychiatrist and the Director of the Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health at ULS Estuário do Tejo in Vila Franca de Xira, Lisbon, Portugal. He also serves as Clinical Director and board member of the clinical center PIN (Partners in Neuroscience). Alongside his clinical leadership roles, he is an Invited Professor in Psychiatry at Católica Medical School and a Visiting Lecturer in Psychiatry at the Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de Lisboa. Prof. Jesus is currently completing his PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Lisbon and holds a postgraduate degree in Health Management from the Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics. A recognized voice in psychiatry and neuroscience, he has authored numerous scientific articles, academic books, and health communication works aimed at the general public.
