No challenge is too difficult for Liezl Siebrits from SMC

During the month of celebrating women, it gives us the greatest pleasure to introduce one of the team members from the SMC team, Liezl Siebrits. Liezl is a senior sales engineer at SMC Corporation.

This outgoing woman started her career in sales, long before SMC was in South Africa. She moved to SMC Corporation South Africa 5 years ago and this has really set her career path in sales in Industrial Automation on fire.

At SMC she quickly showed her dedication to the company and its customers by means of excellent service and technical knowledge, making easy work of the training courses on hand and learning the products on offer, very quickly.

Her dedication is evident in a recent customer survey conducted by SMC South Africa, where all her customers thanked her for her excellent service and assistance, some also insisting that the message was conveyed directly to her.

Liezl focuses on the Food and Packaging industry, which makes up more than 90% of her current customer base.  It is in this industry that she sets herself apart from other suppliers and sales engineers. She can quickly and easily understand the customer’s concerns and will always offer a solution that will not just generate a sale, but will also win her a customer for life. Customer service and technical support is the basis upon which she builds her customer relations. She leaves no stone unturned to get to a great solution for her customers.

Her determination and dedication shines through in her personal life too. She proved this in 2019 when she decided to do a solo pilgrimage to the Portuguese Camino de Santiago, which is a pilgrimage from Porto in Portugal to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. This route is 240km and is undertaken by about 30 000 pilgrims a year. After this achievement she decided to continue with another Camino, walking the Camino Finestere – Muxia adding another 120km to her total walking distance. She completed the total distance of 360km over a period of 16 days and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

Liezl was recently promoted to Senior Sales Engineer and places her focus mostly in the food and packaging industry. She puts the same amount of energy and dedication she used to finish her pilgrimage into dealing with her customers. She also never backs away from a challenge or difficult customer. (Not that SMC has ANY difficult customers😉)

Liezl Siebrits is a true legend in the making and she is building a great reputation for herself in the pneumatic sales/automation industry. SMC is very proud to have her as part of the team.
