Ethical Consumer, a UK based, independent non-profit co-operative, have released the findings of its investigation into the ethics of multiple meat-alternative companies and brands.

Of the 32-brands that were ranked, The Fry Family Food Co came in third, making it one of the top-three ethical consumers brands in the UK, in the meat-alternative space.
The study looked into various ethical issues including soy sources (and the link to deforestation) and the findings have been made available in its March/April Magazine.
Says Tammy Fry, international marketing director at The Fry Family Food Co.: ‘We are a family owned and run business, so our company ethos and value system is very important to us. We work hard to ensure these ethics are reflected in our supply chain, ultimately giving our consumers peace of mind about their food choices.’
In response to the growing demand for plant-based meat alternatives in the UK, Fry’s recently starting supplying product to 500 Sainsbury’s stores in the UK. Their portfolio has grown to include 8000 supermarkets, speciality and chain stores in 30-countries.
The Fry Family Food Co., has been making meat-free products for almost three decades, and has sold more than 30-million units worldwide.
