The seal confirms that the EVOO is 100% locally (South African) produced and is authentic Extra Virgin Olive Oil. This means the consumer may experience all the enjoyment and benefits of a fresh juice extracted from newly harvested olives. The SA Olive Commitment to Compliance (CTC) Scheme is not a certification scheme. It is a voluntary integrity-based scheme managed by SA Olive for locally produced extra virgin olive oil.
Correct labelling
The CTC seal also guarantees that the labelling of the product is correct and transparent. The year of harvest and ‘best before’ date are clearly displayed on the product to assure consumers of the freshness of the oil.
